Tour to Moscow

Day 1: Welcome to Moscow

Pick up with your driver from an airport; check-in to your hotel.

First day is mostly free and therefore you will have enough time for resting at the hotel after your travel or immediate exploring the centre of the city. Numerous cafés and restaurants nearby will offer you any cuisine you prefer.

Day 2: Start the tour

After your breakfast at the hotel the guide will meet you in the lobby ready to begin the tour through unique Moscow landmarks. It will start in the core of the capital, the Red Square, and you will be able to attend its key highlights including GUM famous not only for its shops but also for its architecture, and Lenin’s Mausoleum.

After you will follow for the Kremlin, the ancient outstanding construction lived out through centuries, which tells you its amazing story. You will visit the magnificent Armoury Chamber with its famous collection of weapons, imperial carriages, coronation finery and see the treasury and jewels of Russian Emperors’ House including marvelous Fabergé eggs.

Later you are awaited at St. Basil's Cathedral for getting familiar from inside with the most pictured symbol of the country and recognizable around the world. Since it was built five centuries ago in time of Ivan the Terrible no visitor is left without trepidation. Getting at upper level (depends on season) allows you a pleasant top view at the Red Square and its vicinity.

The rest of the day is free and your guide gladly suggest you more interesting attractions to visit.

Day 3: Bus tour through Moscow and Novodevichy Convent

Your guided bus tour starts after breakfast. The trip will introduce you Moscow at its best: opened avenues and cozy lanes, impressive buildings and picturesque city landscapes, powerful and exquisite architecture of different periods will show you true diversity of the capital.

After that you will head to the Novodevichy Convent – one of the most beautiful and ancient convents in Russia. There you will discover secrets of Russian Orthodoxy and touch Russian spirituality at its deepest. The territory of the Convent includes churches, great park and one of the oldest cemeteries.

Later you will be returned to the hotel and have free time.

Day 4: Moscow Subway and the Tretyakov Gallery

After enjoying you breakfast you guide will offer you to follow with food for your soul. The world famous Tretyakov Gallery opens to you its treasury of fine art. The great masterpieces it keeps has been amazing everyone who saw them, whereas the diversity of the collection – themes, styles and epoch – promises to be interesting to anyone. You will see collection of Russian icons and painting of classic masters (Aivazovsky, Vrubel, Vasnetsov, Repin, Vereshchagin, Serov, Levitan, Roerich etc.) and outstanding works of soviet painters.

Later you will proceed for Moscow Subway tour – the vascular system of vivid city organism. Among art professionals Moscow Subway is called “underground palace” due to its splendor and no doubt you will be surprised seeing how locals daily travel throughout this museum with trains!

The Subway was founded in 1935 and mostly testifies for powerful period of soviet living, however, as history contrasts are balanced on pages of a book so Moscow Subway could be read by turning over the stations while travelling through. Nowadays it is one of five largest subways in the world.

The rest of the day is free.

Day 5: Izmailovo Park

Following the breakfast at the hotel the guide will take you to Izmailovo Park which is one of the largest parks in Moscow whose territory and constructions are subject of cultural heritage and garden art. Within several minutes you will be transported from noisy and crowding capital to peaceful and tranquil countryside rhythm.

The territory was chosen for hunting lands in 17 century (there is preserved the original pool with manmade island) and later transformed into park with numerous attractions and activities.

You will visit the market to get souvenirs and presents of any type; the place is well-known among locals for often exhibitions and season flea market events.

And as the final fitting of your diving into Russian living you will be invited to the Museum of Russian vodka. So many myths are told about this drink that its true nature is lost among these stories; and this is one more secret you could be shown.

After the planned program you will have your free time for rest or further exploration by your own.

Day 6: Departure from Moscow

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Depending on your departure time your driver will take you to an airport for your back flight.
